We consider baptism a vital step of obedience in the life of every disciple of Christ and will only receive into membership those who have been baptized as believers. At Adaton Baptist Church, we practice water baptism, by immersion, in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in accordance with Scripture for those who have believing allegiance to Jesus Christ. It is an outward sign of repentance of sin, allegiance to Jesus, union with him in his death and resurrection, new life in the Spirit, and is the entrance into the visible Church on earth.
